The Estates at Grey Oaks

Updated: 4 days ago

The Estates at Grey Oaks are comprised of 167 home sites on twelve streets, which range with residences sized from 3,200 square feet to 13,416 square feet (built on two homesites.)  The acreage of these homesites range from 0.35 acres to 1.45 acres.

Grey Oaks was the brainchild of Judy Sproul, the granddaughter of Barron Collier, who had a vision to create a community that would have amazing amenities and a place that families would call home.  With her creative vision and determination over thirty years ago, one would never have imagined that this would become one of the most preeminent, sought-after, world-class country club communities in Southwest Florida! In fact, the very first ten homes built in Grey Oaks, were in the Estates, as was her home!  This amazing lady is still a part of Grey Oaks and is seen enjoying the Club’s amenities.  She had a dream and created a legacy that so many families, including ours, have enjoyed being a part of this amazing community. My husband and I have lived in the Estates in Grey Oaks for almost 20 years, raising our four children here, and it has been the best decision that my husband and I have ever made.  The Members have become MUCH younger since the years we moved here, as has all of Florida and Naples, due to the world-altering Covid and the ability to work remotely.

Fast-forward thirty years, and there are now already homes in the Estates that have been bought, leveled, and a newly constructed residence built in its place.  Tastes change, and the much-loved, Tuscan-inspired original homes are now being transformed into today’s coastal-inspired, more contemporary designs. There are also some residences that are on double lots, in the Estates but that also entails paying double annual fees.

Each neighborhood in Grey Oaks has different homeowner rules and regulations, and what is included in the quarterly fees.  In the Estates, there is a minimal yearly fee of $676 for landscaping within the community, but the homeowners choose their own landscaping company and pool company for their lot/residence.

The Estates section of Grey Oaks is comprised of streets that curve around the main Clubhouse and its amenities are on the Pine Course. These streets include:

  • Indian Pipe Way (11 homes)

  • Chicory Lane, (5 homes)

  • Spicebush Lane (10 homes)

  • Day Lily Place (10 homes)

  • Bulrush Lane (18 homes)

  • Buckthorn Way (24 homes)

  • Tarflower Way (11 homes)

  • Thistle Way (8 homes)

  • Silverleaf Lane (16 homes – one is on a double lot)

  • Indigobush Way (14 homes)

  • Bellflower Lane (14 homes – one is on a double lot)

  • Dahlia Way (22 homes)

The architecture of the homes varies greatly, as do the house sizes and lots, but homeowners here are allowed to build and remodel throughout the year, as this is not the case in some other Grey Oaks neighborhoods.  Most of the homes have vistas of the Pine Course, or lake and golf course views.
